There were 205 Anglican communicants.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>New Connexion General Baptists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The chapel was built in 1813, and had 60 members in 1829.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> On 30 March 1851 there was just a single service, in the afternoon, attended by 70 people, while 36 were at the Sunday School attached to this church.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn3\">[3]<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wesleyan Methodists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This chapel, which no longer exists, was built in 1821 and had 100 free and 57 other sittings.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn4\">[4]<\/a> There were 50 Wesleyan Methodists in Belton in 1829.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn5\">[5]<\/a> On census Sunday in 1851, there were 36 at the afternoon service and 92 present in the evening.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn6\">[6]<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Return to <\/b><a title=\"Protestant Nonconformity\" href=\"http:\/\/www.leicestershirehistory.co.uk\/?page_id=389\">Protestant Nonconformity: A-Z<\/a><\/p>\n<div><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"1\" width=\"33%\" \/>\n<div>\n<p><a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> A.
