Each of the places indicated by a red dot on the map above will be included, having been selected by the team at Charnwood Forest Geopark. Our work will culminate in an &#8216;historical digest&#8217; for each of the settlements indicated with a red dot on the map above. These will be made available to the public on the Geopark&#8217;s website in 2027.<\/p><p>So, what&#8217;s in an Historical Digest? Each digest will be about 2,000 words long, and we&#8217;ve been asked to include information on all of the topics listed below. Our group of volunteers is being guided by a qualified historian, and so even if you have little or no previous experience, you&#8217;ll be guided on your research journey. Volunteers are integral to this project, and are already helping us to gather the information we need. But we still need more help &#8211; so if you&#8217;re interested in joining our team of volunteers, we&#8217;d love to hear from you!
