Our next publication, Loughborough Since 1750: A Social and Cultural History, is expected to be published in early 2026.
We have published four paperback parish histories, shown below. You can purchase any of these online, or contact us to ask if we have any discounts available for direct purchase.

Five ‘Red Books’ in the county series were published between 1907 and 1964. They are no longer in print, but can be found in reference libraries. You can also read part of volume II and all of volumes IV and V online. Volumes I-III contain information about the whole county, volume IV is a history of the city of Leicester (published 1955) and volume V is about the parishes in the former Gartree Hundred, around Market Harborough.
Online publications
Since 2010 we have also posted draft histories online for Brooksby, Kirby Bellars, Leire and Welby, written by our volunteers Carol Cambers and Alan Fox. Working with undergraduate students at the University of Leicester in summer 2012, we have also published online all or part of the religious histories of five parishes near Leicester: Blaby, Broughton Astley, Countesthorpe, Oadby and Wigston Magna.
We have also completed projects at Coston and Nanpantan which have produced partial parish histories. These can be found under the Projects tab.
